Event Lead Role
We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, strong communicators, and skilled problem solvers, with a passion for the event industry, hospitality and helping others. As an Event Lead, you will serve as the primary on-site contact during events, manage venue operations and ensure a smooth experience for clients, guests, and vendors.
Key responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact on event days for clients and vendors for anything venue-related.
• Introduce yourself to clients and vendors upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported throughout the day.
• Provide venue-specific information to all guests and vendors as needed, creating a welcoming and organized experience.
• Assist clients’ day-of coordinators with logistics and collaborate with the catering team as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Open and prepare the venue for each event, ensuring all spaces are clean, organized, and set up according to the client’s plan and Glass House’s standards.
• Work with hired security to maintain the safety and comfort of all guests throughout the event.
• Ensure compliance with venue policies, addressing any questions or concerns that arise.
• Ensure bathrooms and suites are stocked, trash is removed, and all spaces remain clean and meet Glass House standards.
Expectations
• Minimum high school degree or GED equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional demeanor with high level of hospitality
Compensation
Based on experience, $26-$28/hr
Bartender Role
Serve beverages at a variety of gatherings including social events, corporate functions, galas, and more. We ask that you take initiative, work well with a team, and are someone who enjoys working with people and serving guests at a high level of hospitality.
Key responsibilities
• Prepare and serve drinks: Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
• Customer service: Provide excellent customer service, interact with guests, and ensure their satisfaction.
• Set up and break down bar area: Set up the bar before the event starts, including stocking the bar with necessary supplies and ingredients, and break down after the event.
• Maintain cleanliness: Ensure that the bar area is clean, organized, and sanitized during the event.
• Check ID for age verification: Verify that guests are of legal drinking age and follow alcohol service laws.
• Handle cash and transactions: Process transactions accurately, including accepting cash, credit cards, and tips.
• Inventory management: Monitor stock levels and ensure supplies such as liquor, mixers, glassware, and garnishes are replenished as needed.
• Follow safety protocols: Ensure guests drink responsibly and prevent over-service.
• Collaborate with event staff: Work with event coordinators and other staff members to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with event setup and cleanup: Help with the general setup of the event and ensure the bar is properly cleaned and dismantled afterward.
Qualifications
• Bartending experience: Previous experience in bartending or working in a bar setting is often preferred.
• Knowledge of beverages: Familiarity with various alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, wine, and beer preferred.
• Customer service skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests.
• Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in drink preparation and transactions.
• Physical stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy items like kegs or ice.
Compensation
$19-$21/hr
