From Our House

Crafting sustainable celebrations

Eco-friendly event practices

In a world where gatherings are central to our lives, the event industry has unfortunately become synonymous with waste and environmental harm. From extravagant weddings to corporate conferences, the sheer volume of single-use items and discarded décor poses a significant threat to our planet. But at Glass House, we're rewriting the script, proving that sustainability and sophistication can go hand in hand.

As more and more couples and event planners seek eco-friendly alternatives, Glass House is in the pursuit of more sustainable systems in the event industry. From renewable energy to waste management, our vertically integrated building enables us to address sustainability challenges head-on, setting a new standard for the industry.

Discover Our Venue's Sustainable Practices

Food Recovery: Partnering with Second Harvest Heartland, we've made a commitment to reducing food waste. Working closely with our event clients, we arrange for post-event food pickups, ensuring that surplus food finds its way to those in need rather than ending up in landfills.

Organics Collection: From the moment you step into Glass House, you'll notice our dedication to composting. We collect organics throughout the entire building and require our caterers to do the same. Furthermore, all single-use items must be compostable, minimizing our environmental footprint with every event.

Rooftop Apiary: Our commitment to biodiversity is evident with our latest addition—an apiary right here at our headquarters. By supporting healthy pollinator populations, we not only contribute to local ecosystems our planet as a whole.

Reusable Glassware: Protect the planet and your feet on the dance floor. Opt for acrylic glassware alternatives to minimize environmental impact without compromising style or functionality.

Solar Power: With 500 solar panels on our rooftop, Glass House harnesses the power of the sun to fuel our building’s operations sustainably for both businesses. By investing in renewable energy, we're reducing our carbon footprint and paving the way towards a greener future for all.

100% LED Lighting: Embracing energy efficiency, we've transitioned to 100% LED lighting throughout our building. Not only does this choice reduce our energy consumption, but it also illuminates your events with a warm, eco-friendly glow.

At Glass House, sustainability isn't just a buzzword—it's a way of life. We invite you to join us in reimagining the event industry, where every gathering is an opportunity to celebrate not only love and joy but also the beauty of our planet.
