A modern fairytale

Ashley & Max's wedding

Ashley and Max’s summer wedding at Glass House was a celebration of style, love, and intentional design.

It was an evening where romantic color, thoughtful detail, and artistic architecture blended seamlessly into one unforgettable day.

From the moment guests arrived, the couple’s pink and lavender palette set the tone. Rose Imaginative brought their vision to life through lush, whimsical arrangements inspired by something delightfully unexpected: the Barbie Rapunzel movie. Soft, ethereal blooms cascaded across the space, echoing the couple’s “modern fairytale” theme and adding movement and charm throughout the venue.

Brasa Catering created a warm and inviting dining experience that encouraged guests to connect and celebrate together. The day unfolded smoothly thanks to Jennifer Brisson of Champagne & Lace, whose calm presence and meticulous coordination ensured that every detail fell into place, even when a quick pivot was needed after a burst of summer rain. Loui Photography captured the entire celebration with elegance and ease, documenting everything from sweeping design moments to the quiet, intimate pauses that grounded the day.

"It felt like we found it"

The couple toured several venues before discovering Glass House, but the moment they stepped into the bright white space surrounded by Hennepin Made hand blown lights, they both felt it instantly. “Finally, we found it.”

They were drawn to the venue’s natural light, sculptural installations, and the blank canvas quality that allowed them to paint their vision exactly as imagined. Sustainability also mattered deeply to them, and Glass House’s commitment to responsible practices made their choice feel even more aligned. But what stood out most was the team. “We were met with such genuine energy from the staff,” they shared. “It just felt right.”

The couple even turned Glass House Social Hours into date nights leading up to the wedding, enjoying drinks, music, walk throughs, and time together in the space that would soon hold such meaningful memories.

A space that feels like magic

The reception area quickly became their favorite part of the venue. With around 90 guests, the room felt both intimate and grand. It created a balance that made the evening feel personal, warm, and special. The lights suspended from the ceiling glow like stars after sunset, and the couple placed their head table right beneath them. “It’s the most magical centerpiece,” they said.

When Ashley and Max stepped into the space together before guests entered, candles flickering and the room fully set, they felt the weight and beauty of the moment. “It was everything we wanted,” they shared. “All of the planning led up to that point.”

Design details that made the day

Ashley and Max’s celebration was full of thoughtful, personal touches that added character without overwhelming the space. Custom bar signs pointed guests toward creative cocktails. Chic lamps on cocktail tables created a cozy glow and encouraged conversation. The couple also brought in a black and white checkered dance floor, playful and bold, perfectly suited to their modern fairytale aesthetic.

These subtle layers of personality are what made the day feel so distinctly theirs.

A favorite moment they will never forget

Just before the ceremony, a burst of unexpected rain required a swift move indoors. Something that could have been stressful instead turned into a moment of teamwork and calm thanks to Champagne & Lace and the Glass House staff.

After the ceremony, as the guests cheered them down the aisle, Ashley and Max slipped away for a private moment in the lounge. Their bartender had two spicy margaritas waiting. “We were able to sit there, just us two, and enjoy being married,” they said. “We slowed down, were present, and soaked it all in.” It became one of the sweetest memories of their day.
