Two Resonant Spaces: Joshua McGarvey & Michael Legan

Experience Two Resonant Spaces.

A strange and beautiful immersive sound installation by artists Joshua McGarvey and Michael Legan hosted in the Courtyard @ Glass House.

By outfitting a pair of recycled irrigation containers with sonic devices, the artists created two chambers that emphasize the resonant characteristics of each environment. Sounds produced by those participating, as well as latent or unintentional sounds, are played back into the chambers via loudspeakers—simulating a dialogue between the two. While conceptually exploring two objects or bodies in communication with each other, the project offers an experience that transforms and transcends the materials and forms by embracing the reality of their make-up.
